Your generosity changes lives.

As a non-profit ministry, the price of camp does not cover the cost of camp. Everyone, regardless of financial need, deserves to experience the refreshment and renewal that a camp experience provides. We rely on your generosity to support youth and families who cannot afford to attend camp. We also have ongoing needs for new projects and to upkeep and maintain our facility.

Will you prayerfully make a generous financial gift so kids can encounter Jesus at Kidder Creek?

Give Monthly

Kidder Creek Transformers give $25 a month or more, allowing us to put your gift to work where it’s most needed. You can set up an automatic recurring gift and avoid hassle and paperwork. Of course one-time gifts are also welcome!

Warken family

Andy Warken

Andy was born in Barcelona, Spain where his parents were missionaries doing youth and camp work. His family moved to Schroon Lake, New York when Andy was 9 where they continued life in ministry at Word of Life. Andy began working at camp at 12, and has only missed one summer since. Andy loved camp so much that he received a degree from Appalachian Bible College in Christian Camping. He's been a wrangler, dishwasher, counselor, plunger, river guide, program director and now directs Mount Hermon Kidder Creek. He is married to Emily and they have 7 children. He loves adventuring alongside his friends and family in God's creation. His favorite pastimes are kayaking, snowboarding, biking and camping. He began working at Kidder Creek in 2014 and feels grateful that God is utilizing his love of adventure and the outdoors to grow God's kingdom!

Matson Family

Topher Matson

Hi! I’m Topher. This is my family: Kelly, Parker (5), and Chase (3). I was raised in Northern California in a Christian home where my parents made it a priority to come to camp. I attended Mount Hermon’s Family Camp, Ponderosa Lodge, and numerous camps in the Sierras for youth and men’s retreats.

So it’s no surprise that I spent three wonder-filled summers in college as a camp counselor. In 2018, I started working on the Advancement team at Mount Hermon and visited Kidder Creek for the first time. I fell in LOVE with the Christ-centered program, the splendor of the Scott Valley (with its Marble Mountain Wilderness) and the staff and volunteers that make it the best camp around. I’m hooked, and so is my family.

It’s my joy and honor to support the Kidder Creek team as we rally to see Kidder transform for the next 50 years of ministry. We are thankful for a generation of founders who boldly prayed, asked and labored to build the camp and ministry we’ve inherited today. Now it’s our turn to step out in faith and inspire future generations to do the same— all for our King!

I can’t wait to meet you and hear your Kidder story! Thank you for being part of God’s story here!

Testimonial

“Something that I have really been struggling with over the past year is knowing what it means to really accept Jesus into your heart. I have grown up in a Christian family and I’ve always had faith in my life, so I never really understood what that meant. I had so many questions. I now know what that means. I know what I need to do. That has made a difference in my life.”
